Mutant Fighting Cup is a fighting game developed by Nikolay Marchenko and Alina Oleinik. When you start playing the game however, you’ll see that the game has a bit of strategy mix into it.
The game entices players with its unique and interesting play style. There are 6 lands in the game that you have to fight in. Each land is ruled by monsters with different strengths and skills. You’ll need to defeat all of them to get the World Cup.
The first interesting feature in this game is that before each match, there is a strategy section for changing your monster’s gene making it stronger. There are many types of genes and all of them are divided into 6 main groups which include Common Mutations, Legs, Head, Body and Spinal Tumors. At the beginning of the game however, you are only provided certain genes. You’ll get a chance to get new genes every time you win a match.
The second interesting feature is these genes are divided into many different types so you’ll have to think carefully when choosing which genes to use in battle to be able to win. The types of genes include healing as well as increasing attack, defense, dexterity, health.
The final interesting feature is the skills that you can activate in a match. In each turn, 3 skills will randomly appear and you’ll have to choose 1 of the 3 skills to use when your turn comes up. The skills can range from healing, increasing defense to a double attack.
The game also has a sequel for you to experience titled Mutant Fighting Cup 2.
If you’re a fan of this type of game, there are also other similar games for you to play such as Superfighters, Orion Sandbox…
You mostly control the game using the mouse. You use the mouse to drag the gene icons into the empty slots to mutate and in a match, you click on the skill icons to activate them.
